The Connected Communities Academy was a technology training center focused on improving the workforce skills of the tech workers in the county through high tech training and career mentoring.
I was responsible for creating a unique brand that would appeal to a young, diverse audience. Was also responsible for writing copy and producing all associated print and digital media items including website, brochures, flyers, rack cards, e-mail marketing templates, social media banners, and business cards.
To promote it throughout the community, I worked directly with partner agencies and businesses providing them with the talking points to help them educate their clients and/or employees on local tech industry needs, career pathways and how the courses available at the Academy could support their goals.
As of 2019, the Academy’s offerings have been rolling into the activities of the Nevada County Tech Connection.
